"Wish I'd known about these bags sooner"
08-May-2012
My husband bought me the Mia Tui Amelie as a Christmas present and I wouldn't be without it now!
I was after a bag that didn't scream changing bag but that was still big and practical enough for all the baby paraphernalia I have to cart around. I have a 13 month old and soon to be 3 year old so still need to carry quite a lot of stuff around for them. Happily, this bag can accommodate it all and as it's so organised on the inside, I can always find what I am looking for!
It's got an insulated bottle holder which is great for milk bottles or juice plus 3 separate pockets on the inside; (2 smaller and 1 bigger). I use one of the smaller ones for spare nappies and the other for toys, snacks etc. The bigger pocket is the perfect size for the changing mat.
It also has a key clip which is fantastic and means I can unlock the car/house one-handed with daughter on my arm. It's also got a pen holder and mobile phone holder which means I can grab stuff in an instant because I know exactly where it is.
It also comes with 2 clear bags, one of which I use for wipes, tissues, plasters etc and the other for dirty clothes, bibs etc.
There's also a co-ordinating clutch bag which I keep my purse and lippy in - it's super handy for when I just need to pop out with my wallet. It's also got a strap which leaves my hands free to carry other stuff (or hold a little person's hand).
The main body of the bag is wide and deep enough to store all the other stuff I carry around such as a change of clothes, lunch box, umbrella, portable potty etc.
The bag is also waterproof on the inside and wipe clean on the out which is a huge bonus and so far, it's withstood all the trials and tribulations of life with a toddler and baby and looks as good as new. Because it doesn't look like a changing bag I've also taken it to work meetings as it's been able to accommodate my work files on top of everything else!
The bags are also airline compliant size apparently for hand luggage so I'll be taking it on board with me for our family holiday (it also came in very handy on a recent hen weekend, where I found that the bottle holder was also very useful for a bottle of bubbly :-) )
Since discovering this bag I've now also bought one of the smaller ones, the Grace, which I use when I don't need to carry quite as much stuff and as my daughter gets older, I think I may also invest in the medium sized one, the Ava. Just need to decide on a colour now!Read moreLessMumsnetter neena123

"I live in France but work in London and travel"
02-Nov-2011
I live in France but work in London and travel over every few weeks. A friend told me about these bags and I bought the largest one, the Amelie. It is airline hand-luggage size compliant so perfect for me. I can get all of my work clothes and other stuff in it for a 3 or 4 day trip - I particularly like the small clutch that you get with it which I clip to the inside of the bag and that's where my money, passport and boarding pass stay and it's really easy to get it in and out.
At home, this great bag is used for days out with the kids. The interior is waterproof with loads of different pockets so I can put a flask/drink in along with wet clothes after swimming as well as keeping the mobile phone dry! The drinks holder also holds a bottle of wine rather well:)
All in all, a brilliant bag - it has made travelling so much easier, and it is really stylish so I just have it with me all the time at meetings and lunch/dinner appointments.
At other times it means I can just have one bag as my life is often a mix of children and work, and not always separate.
I have now bought the medium size and the smaller bag as well, and have generally become a complete Mia Tui fan! It's a great changing bag, but it really comes into its own for women like me who have several kids and are working. And the big bag is only £59.99 and the smaller ones cheaper, so definitely affordable.
A great range of bags for working mothers.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.
