"Best thing we've bought by far…"
24-Jan-2013
I bought this as the one that came with the pram was useless and the Bababing had great reviews - it hasn't been a let down... it's smart, unisex, easy to clean, lots of compartments including a dirty nappy sack and it also has two bottle coolers (one removable) which keeps a bottle cool for four hours. The changing mat that's inside is a really good size. It also has a properly adjustable strap for attaching to the pram/buggy. Would highly recommend!

"Practical, quality bag at a great price!…"
23-Dec-2012
We bought this bag as its unisex, both my husband and I love the practicality of the bag. Lots of handy pockets make those little things easy to find! We love the bag that much that we've gone on to buy other products from this brand. Which again have exceeded all of our expectations.

"Worked until the warranty period ended and then fell apart…"
13-May-2012
As many have mentioned, we bought this bag as it was unisex. The velcro in the back pocket was so strong the fabric stitching came apart but other than that for the first 12 months it worked well.
But then the rivets broke off, so we couldn't shorten the handle and it dragged on the ground when hanging on the back of the pram. We then washed it and the stiff fabric softened and the fabric disintegrated around all the zips...we'd zip up the bag and the fabric would tear. It's the first time we put it in the washing machine - not that it was in a particularly dirty state. I couldn't believe the item wasn't designed to withstand a basic wash.
The warranty period only lasts a year so at 13months we have lucked out. We won't be buying another.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

22-Mar-2012
I bought the deluxe version of this bag and couldn't rate us highly enough.
It's functional with tons of space for all the nappy and feeding equipment, change of clothes, toys etc.
The changing mat is massive and detaches from the front of the bag so it doesn't take up room in the main body of the bag.
This is my second bag, the first being a Wallaboo which just wasn't big enough and not very comfortable to carry. This bag is much better and well worth the money.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

Picked this bag, as wanted to make sure hubby was also happy to use. Which he was! A great bag, proper-sized changing mat which we can still use for our DD who is now 21months.
Plenty of storage and extra pockets.Read moreLess4 people found this review helpful.

"Not impressed with this bag at all. The zip on…"
16-Feb-2011
Not impressed with this bag at all. The zip on the bottle holder on the outside is so short, you can't fit a tall bottle in it! The bag doesn't open up very wide so it's hard to see what's inside. The dark interior also makes it difficult to see what you've got in the bag. I can fit about 6 nappies, cream, 2 baby gros, nappy bags, muslin, bib & one small toy in bag but no room for bottles, food, formula holder, hot water flask. Once bag is full you can't easily fit your purse, diary and notepad in and no room for red book. The satchel is made of good quality thick material but it's so thick and unflexible that you can't pull things in out out easily. I'm afraid the bag is going bag to the shop today! Going to look at the Ju Ju Be bag range instead.

"used for the first 5 months as husband chose it…"
29-May-2010
used for the first 5 months as husband chose it - said he didn't mind carrying it! However, I soon realised that I would be the one doing most of the carrying whilst husband at work and found it very bulky and heavy in comparison to other bags (have now bought a ju ju between and this is much lighter and smaller but can carry the same stuff)
to summarise -
pros - large change mat, dirty nappy/clothes pocket, husband friendly!, lots of pockets, detachable bottle bag, good value for money if you want a large bag
cons - large, bulky, velcro fastenings can wake sleeping babiesRead moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

"My partner chose this as he wanted to make sure…"
10-Sep-2009
My partner chose this as he wanted to make sure he didn't end up with something flowery/shiny. It is excellent value and quality, everything is clearly labelled including a section for personal items (and where we keep our daughters red book). The changing mat is excellent, and my best friend and mother of 2, about to be 3, has gone out and bought one for her new born.

19-Jul-2009
This bag is excellent! I would highly recommend it to anyone! We had it bought as a gift and it is perfect - it looks cool, so my husband will lug it around too. The bag has plenty of (labelled) pockets, so it's easy to find what you want when you've got your hands full. The insulated bottle holders are useful and the padded changing mat is ace - it's miles bigger than the last bag's I had. It also seems really well made and durable too. A winner in every respect!

Fantastic! Found this after 3 other disasterous bags.
We travel alot and find we can get everything in it for DS.
Dummy clips, pouch for my stuff, and the waste sack at the bottom are genius.
Its really easy to clean too and my DH is very happy to wear it.

"This is brilliant! We have had ours for 5 months…"
26-Jan-2009
This is brilliant! We have had ours for 5 months now and I can't fault it and the manbag idea means hubby is happy to wear it while we are out and about (not sure he would have been as happy with a pink flowery number)
There's loads of room inside for a change of clothes, wipes, creams, disposable change mat (for those dodgy areas where you don't want to put your own down first)bottle of water for mum, two handy dummy hooks to stop you rummaging around in the bottom of the bag and extra pockets for breast pads, antibac gel etc. We also managed to fit 10 NB nappies and now 8 regular in ours as there are two allocated pockets - more than enough for a whole day out. There is a great dirty clothes section on the bottom, and a bottle holder on the side that actually fits a TT bottle. The flap has a zip section and there is another on the back of the bag for purse, pens, diary etc. and courier style section on the strap for phone. The change mat is also very padded and seems to be alot more durable than most others I have seen. Ours came in dark green.
Only downside was back zip tag kept coming off, but i have now replaced with keyring so no more probs. Would deffinately recommend.Read moreLessMumsnetter Pendle

"We found this bag totally impractical within a week of…"
29-Sep-2008
We found this bag totally impractical within a week of being out and about and have since banished it to the back of a wardrobe! We bought it before we had the baby (prob the first mistake!) and thought it looked great, particularly as it is unisex - which my husband liked. However, it is so padded that it is actually quite big and bulky and we couldnt get that much in it. I found it hard to see into the small pockets or to find anything easily and a slog to use it in small spaces, lug it into toliets/across resturants, etc. Also, it had a bottle holder that didnt really fit any bottle i used (i.e. Avent/ TT & Born free). I found that a skip hop changing mat/bag (which is small but takes a change of clothes, nappies, wipes etc in it, and can just go under the buggy) and my normal handbag works really well. But maybe I would have been happier with a smaller handbag type changebag than this larger and complicated type stachel.

"I got this bag when I was expecting my twins…"
29-May-2008
I got this bag when I was expecting my twins as had not been happy with my Mamas and Papas one I had with DS1. It is excellent. The right amount of pockets to put everything in, handy places for keys, wallet, bottles, nappies etc etc. Changing mat is best portable one I have seen. Easy to carry and goes with anything.

"I LOVE it!! I can't say enough good things about…"
01-Mar-2008
I LOVE it!! I can't say enough good things about this bag. I had another one (actually, another few!) before it and then saw it and decided that it would be worth spending some money (the others had been donated) and getting a decent bag.
There are more pockets than you can shake a stick at and all of the ones in the main compartment are mesh so you can see what's in them. That is if you haven't just put in them what the handy labels tell you to! there's two nappy pockets, one for wipes and one for bags!!
There are spaces for bottles and food, a front pocket in the fold over flap and a pocket for YOUR stuff at the back.
The best thing for me was that the changing mat is on velcro and stays attached (or comes off, as you choose) while you change the little one. Genius!! There is also a pocket underneath the bag for dirty stuff - a great idea. I put B's clothes in there when we're wearing the spares after a poo explosion!!
Overall, I think this is a brilliant bag and I would recommend it. There are loads of pockets and compartments and lots of space to hold your kit. You can fit so much in you'll feel like Mary Poppins!!Read moreLessMumsnetter Mattesdon

"Although this bag's look doesn't disguise that is it is…"
19-Feb-2008
Although this bag's look doesn't disguise that is it is a changing bag with any fancy design, I find this bag has everything I need!! It has a large, padded changing mat that folds away, several compartments for nappies, wipes etc, insulated pockets for bottles, space for lots of outfit changes, a separate compartment for dirty nappies / soiled clothes.
It has a large pocket for storing non-baby things (keys, wallet etc) and a mobile-phone pocket.
Plus...the fact that it calls itself a 'paternity satchel' and it's black colouring certainly helped convince my dh that it was by no means a handbag, and that he could take it out with him!Read moreLessMumsnetter ninjaknickers
