I have 2 Miele hovers one for upstairs and one for downstairs- the one upstairs is nearly ten years old and still going strong!

I have mobility issues and this is easy and light enough to use and has fantastic suction. Btw the bags can be bought from Wilkos and they are much cheaper.

I would never buy another make as Miele is so reliable.Read moreLess
"Not wildly impressed…"
Bit surprised by the great reviews. I find this vacuum cleaner heavy to lug around, and the compartment on top with the little brushes in regularly pops open which drives me bonkers! It works well but is noisy and sometimes smelly in use even with a quite new hoover bag. I don't loathe it with a passion but tbh I probably wouldn't buy it again.Read moreLess
"My bestie domestic friend…"
A pricey little thing but has an amazing suck and has not lost power at all(unlike the countless dysons, vaxs and various other models we had before we finally shelled out for this). Compact and bijou enough to fit under the stairs easily. Had to buy a replacement as husband cut through the cord of our original one while removing our carpets; testament to how good it is that he didn't moan about replacing it with the same model. The only make that's ever been able to cope with our appalling detritus - if you can afford one, do not hesitate to get a Miele. (And don't let your husband near it with a stanley knife.)Read moreLess
