An excellent way of saving time just pop some meat, veg, potatoes in the morning and it'll be ready when you come home. Add some dumplings 30 minutes before serving for and extra treat.
My children like sausages done this way as it makes them soft with no hard skins to chomp through!
I love it.Read moreLessMumsnetter MrsWeasley

Big and fantastic - keeps me sane thinking about what's in it when I've had a long day and still have to rustle up tea. Makes jam, soup, stews, curries - the only thing it can't do is roast a chicken or pay me a compliment.
