"solid and dependable…"
I've had my KitchenAid mixer for many years and find it invaluable for whisking and creaming, for mincing and for making pasta (I have the pasta rolling attachment).
I don't find it is so good for kneading, as anything but a fairly small batch will make the machine rock about a bit.
It has lasted longer and worked harder than any other kitchen baking appliance that I have ever owned.Read moreLess
"solid, simple, good looking and perfect peaks…"
wish I had have purchased this long ago, such a good machine, Kenwood users will pick up on the 'Kitchenaid is only 300w' but they are forgetting that the Kitchenaid is direct drive wheras the Kenwoods(even the Kmix) are belt driven.
anyhoo back to the review, wow is this machine quiet, I thought something was wrong it is so quiet, again down to the direct drive.. bread mixing is pretty much a mixers hardest task and it seems to do it with ease.. meringues are quick and beautifully peaked, cake mixes again a breeze..
it was between this and the Kenwood Titanium KM010 which looked an excellent machine but after deciding processing functions would not be needed by us and the pasta attachment has the edge on the Kitchenaid we went for the KA adn glad we did, I would not choose a Kmix over a Kitchenaid but the Titanium Chefs its a very close call.Read moreLess

"It is one of the best kitchen gadgets I have…"
It is one of the best kitchen gadgets I have ever purchased and I am the queen of kitchen gadgets!! it is great for making light sponges and kneading all types of dough, and egg whites for meringues are whipped up in no time. I wouldn't be without it. `i have recently purchased a roller to make pasta sheets and it rolls it like a dream. The price is really competitive - while it is a lot of money to pay out, the mixer will last a lifetime and does the job of so many other gadgets that it is well worth the moneyRead moreLess
