"We love this place…"
26-Sep-2012
Our children (now 3 and 5), us and grandparents love coming here. So much to do - we all love the toboggan ride (but beware it doesn't run if track is wet), obstacle courses, slides/rope bridges/towers/zip wires and the indoor play areas. The farm/animal bit is nice (ferret racing fun) and both children love the ride-on tractors area. Birds of prey zone with falconry shows - very infomative. Plenty of rides for all ages including steep water rides, lots of drop slides and a pirate ship though no big rollercoasters, etc - so maybe not a place for true thrill seekers but fantastic for families particularly with smaller children. Lovely woodland setting but is hilly. Toilets plentiful. Magic/juggling type shows worth a look. No problem with taking your own picnics and covered areas to eat in if wet. Not particularly expensive to get in - great value day out.

Woodlands is a real family favourite. We normally go in a large group of friends with children ranging from 2 to 12 years old.
The indoor play area is huge with fairground rides aswell, all included in the price. There are rides suited for children of all ages and they also cater for birthday parties.
One of the best times to go is during Halloween. There are loads of activities including a night-time walk down to the haunted lake carrying lit pumpkins. Go in fancy dress!!
Fantastic day out, go if you can!Read moreLessMumsnetter lowie131

Fantastic day out - kept both 6yo and 1yo amused.
Five floor soft play (with smaller section for tiny ones) meant that even though it was raining in the morning we still had fun.
Animal petting zoo, water slides (though there was a long queue for them, sand play, outdoor play areas and obstacle courses, another soft play area, few theme park style rides (incl pirate ship). Could have spent several days there.
Cheaper than most theme parksRead moreLessMumsnetter TheArmadillo

"Absolutely brilliant day put went with 3 under 4's and…"
13-Aug-2009
Absolutely brilliant day put went with 3 under 4's and there was still plenty to do, and even more to do for older children (can't wait til my three are big enough for the flumes and slides!!).
We went on a wet day and there are 2 great soft play areas for big kids and smaller ones) and loads of stuff still to do outside (particularly if you have good wet weather gear/ don't mind a bit of rain).
There are reasonable poacked luch areas or if you prefer not too expensive (for a theme park) meals with different styles in different areas (healthly options or fat boy burgers).
Ticket price is slightly more than we anticipated as we had to pay full price for our 3 yr old as she was over a specific height (but this also meant she had access to more of the rides).
All in all FAB day out and lovely for any one wanting something to do on a not so lovely day in South DevonRead moreLess2 people found this review helpful.
