"I took my little boy to Gulliver's Milton Keynes during"
31-Oct-2011
I took my little boy to Gulliver's Milton Keynes during the summer and he loved it. There was very little queuing for rides (which is something that I hate about theme parks) so for me that made the day much more enjoyable. He was able to go on lots of rides. We ate inside the castle and thought the food was reasonably priced for this sort of attraction. The gift shop was nice and not too expensive as well, so we were able to get him a 'souvenir'. We will definitely go back.... he keeps asking!

"We had a great day with our 2 and 4"
29-Aug-2011
We had a great day with our 2 and 4 year old. Thought it was charming in its rather oldfashioned shabbiness. Lots to do for our little ones. Thought it might be a bit boring for older children but will have to try again. Kind of place would only go every couple of years.

"My daughter and I visited the Splashzone in January 2011."
16-Mar-2011
My daughter and I visited the Splashzone in January 2011. We had only been there for five minutes when she went down the middle blue slide. As she sat down, she slipped and fell so that she was propelled down the slide hanging off the edge. As she came round the back, she came off about 3ft up and landed on her head.
She suffered from mild concussion and damage to her teeth, as well as severe trauma. She still has nightmares. Gullivers have treated us as if it is 'one off' and were very condescending, even offering my daughter an icelolly, as if that would make her better!
They have not replied to my complaint letters. They have even lied to a friend, telling her that the accident had not occured. They have not apologised, not told me what they are doing to ensure more safe and the slide has not been modified.
If you chose to go here, I would highly recommend going into the water part with your child. All the slides are very fast (and obviously slippy) and it is not as 'safe' as I had been led to believe.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"We went in october half term and had a great"
22-Dec-2010
We went in october half term and had a great time. It was really quiet and no queuing for any rides which was fantastic. The rides are ideal for younger children as not to fast and scary and I thought the park looked clean and not at all shabby. My girls of 9 and 5 had a great day out and all the staff were very friendly.

"We went in October 2010 around Halloween with our two"
11-Dec-2010
We went in October 2010 around Halloween with our two who were almost 6 and 4.5. For this age group and younger I would have no problem in recommending Gullivers. It's nowhere near the same standard as the likes of Alton Towers or Chessington but the entrance price reflects this and with small children I believe represents better value for money. The park does look tired and sad in places and the food available is pretty average but our children had a ball and didn't notice any of that. I have to say that all the staff members we spoke to were friendly, helpful and very efficient from the entrance gate all throughout the park.

"Gulliver's land is great for toddlers and young children. It's"
04-Dec-2010
Gulliver's land is great for toddlers and young children. It's a lot less stressful than one of the bigger theme parks and has a nice friendly atmosphere. The only downside is that if you have older children they will get bored quite easily as there isn't really much for them.

"Splashdown is part of the Gulliver's Land Complex in Milton"
23-Jul-2010
Splashdown is part of the Gulliver's Land Complex in Milton Keynes and can be visited either as a separate venue or as part of your day at Gulliver's. Splashdown is a water park with slides and fountains and climbing frames. Children need to be wearing swimming costumes but adults can choose whether to get wet or sit on the side to watch their children. Think wet soft play.
I was told no standing water so safe for non swimmers but there is a 3-4 inch deep splash pool at the bottom of each slide which is more than enough for a toddler to drown in.
DS is 3 and after getting used to the noise and hustle and bustle, really enjoyed playing there.
But from a parents point of view, it wasn't so good. Getting me and DS in for a 2 hour session cost £8.25 plus a refundable £2 for the coloured wristband we had to wear to show when our time was up and paying took ages. The venue is long and thin and as you enter there is a shop and toilets, then the water area with benches down the wall and then the main seating area at the end - so if you're going with friends to sit on the side and watch the children while you chat and want to sit round a table instead of in a line on benches then you have to sit at the end and you can't see the children for half the time as they are down the other end of the building - right next to the Entrance/Exit doors which are just swing doors meaning that there is nothing to stop a child wandering out if they wanted and, even worse, nothing to stop someone wandering out with a random child!! Plus, all of the emergency exits claim to be alarmed but DS and his friend easily opened 2 of them and no alarm went off and no-one came running or even seemed to notice!
The food was awful too. The list of rules on the way in states that only food and drink bought inside can be consumed inside but the choice was appalling. The choice of drinks was "Drench" juice, Fruit Shoots, Slush puppies or bottled water and food was pre packed sandwiches, crisps, pick n mix or pre packed cakes. Nothing even vaguely healthy in sight apart from the water!
Parking was easy and customer service was good when we asked for it - and DS liked it - but all in all, I'm not sure we'll be going back even though we live just down the road.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"Took my 2.10 year old to Gullivers Land in May"
03-Jul-2010
Took my 2.10 year old to Gullivers Land in May 2010 - first time I have ever been there and it was fab! First thing DD said when we got through the gates 'WOW DISNEY LAND!' (She has been seeing a lot of ads on Disney Land Paris and saying she wants to go!) - she had a fab time and was able to go on nearly all the rides which was great for her - her fave was the water log ride! Would definetely recommend Gulliver's Land. Very reasonably priced tickets and lots to do!

"Living in Milton Keynes this is my 1st choice with"
11-Aug-2009
Living in Milton Keynes this is my 1st choice with my Kids 8 and 7 a great day out. Loads of choice for each of them and I dont have to go on everything with them, Food is a wide range but if you are on a budget bring your own. Could do with a lick of paint in areas but only adults would notice. If you are fairly local go after 1530 cause they discounted entry prices but check first.

"Absolutely perfect for young children, especially those who are not"
06-May-2009
Absolutely perfect for young children, especially those who are not particularly "thrill seeking", this park offers a great family day out. The rides vary from tiny tots carousels to the rather more exciting log flume, pirate ship, magic carpet and 2 rollercoasters.
My three children ages 2, 4 and 7 all found plenty to entertain them here and had a fantastic day.
I agree with the previous poster in that the food choice is excellent - expensive, yes, but isn't it always at these places? The one negative I would add is that the park is a little shabby in places - but the children certainly wouldn't have noticed that - they were far too busy having fun!
Oh, and be warned - the pedal monorail is HARD WORK - reminded me of how scarily unfit I am, and you have no choice but to get to the end (it's about 15 feet in the air!).Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"Fab! Like an Alton Towers for under 10s. Lots to"
19-Mar-2009
Fab! Like an Alton Towers for under 10s. Lots to do indoors and out (although a sunny day would be better to make full use of the facilities). I can also recommend the restaurant - much better than the usual dodgy burger bar you get at many theme parks. My daughter has been each summer, aged 2, 3 and 4 and had a wonderful time. We are from Leicester and usually meet our friends and family from down South at Gullivers, as its in the middle. They were very impressed too.
