"Camelot has recently reopened. Being honest I can't see any"
06-Aug-2009
Camelot has recently reopened. Being honest I can't see any difference sine they reopened but we have yet to find a theme park which caters so well for children aged 3-12. Most of the rides are fine for children to go on on their own, some might need an adult too. The Jousting show at lunchtime is a welcome distraction and a good place to eat your lunch.
There are 3 rides just for adults but most are suitable for everyone.
Entrance can be expensive but there are plenty of BOGOF leaflets around. Food is surprisingly reasonably priced.Read moreLessMumsnetter AttillaTheHan

"Decent enough - pay £20 to get in (cheaper if"

Decent enough - pay £20 to get in (cheaper if you book over t'internet) & almost every ride is free. Located near Chorley, alongside the M6. Staff attitude is always the thing that makes the difference, plus the majority of staff are usually paid the minimum wage - but it works here. If you are the only one in the que, they will let you ride by yourself! Some thrilling rides (as long as you are tall enough); a great jousting tournament & stuff for the walking toddlers. Have been to other theme parks which are much more commerical, but they have longer ques & more spending money opportunities. As a first theme park this is a good one & there are rides enough to terrify your average Dad (Whirlwind!)
