"Just had a great day out here. Perfect for my"
24-Jun-2010
Just had a great day out here. Perfect for my children who are 2, 4 and 7. The staff were lovely, and there was a good mix of not-too-scary rides, animals to cuddle, a big indoor play barn and fun theater shows. We had lunch in the restaurant which had plenty of choice- we didn't have to have nuggets and chips as they had shepherds pie and peas in childrens portions too which made a refreshing change. All in all a good day out and not too pricey compared to some of the big theme parks.

"A nice little park for little ones, but really not"
22-Feb-2010
A nice little park for little ones, but really not too good for 8+ - small and compact, good selection of rides, although as others have noted the food is poor so best to take your own!

"What a change from last year when it was thoroughly"
10-Apr-2009
What a change from last year when it was thoroughly enjoyable for the whole family. Whether it is a change of management or just a cost cutting exercise I have no idea but the quality is heading downhill fast. It is not just the noise from the airport next door with larger aircraft taking off throughout the day it is the general attitude in the place.
The day we were there the girl playing Alice was absolutely marvelous, however talk about hard work, the person, not sure if it was a male or female, playing the Mad Hatter was an absolute disgrace. It seemed as if it was a first year student from a local college. No idea of the concept of working with children at all - what a shame for poor Alice!!
Food wise, as ever overpriced on the South Coast and not much in the way of Healthy eating on the menu. Take your own is my advise.
One hopes that so early in the season the management can turn things around but I would check with the park before committing. Over £30 entrance and £30 to eat for a family of four + plus souvenirs etc is not a cheap day out!!!Read moreLessMumsnetter MuminDorset

"I visited Adventure Wonderland over October half term with my"
20-Nov-2008
I visited Adventure Wonderland over October half term with my 6 year old son and he loved it. All the rides were open including the Ghostly Galleon which he had several rides on before going to see the Spooky Show at the Theatre complete with smoking cauldrons and spooky music. The actors and actresses were great and really professional and enthusiastic. We got lost in the Spooky maze and were guided out by spooky (but helpful!) characters as well as written clues. It was all great fun, great value and very entertaining as well as being on a small enough scale so as not to feel exhausted at the end of the day. I also felt that it was a very safe environment for children. There were lovely comfy sofas to sit on and enjoy a coffee while my son and his friends tore around using up energy in the large indoor ball park area and all the staff were very helpful - especially with finding a favourite toy which my son lost during our visit. We saw Flo the huge house rabbit at the touchy feely Cuddly Corner area and held cute little rabbits and guinea pigs too. One of the staff approached me while I was at Adventure Wonderland - carrying out a customer survey on the restaurant. Apparently they are in the process of relaunching the restaurant with new menus, all fresh food and also reviewing the restaurant prices. I thought the service was excellent and the staff keen, helpful and friendly. All in all it was a great day out and we are really looking forward to going again in December to see the special Christmas Show and visit Santa in his grotto. I am even seriously considering a Birthday Party there for my son since he had such a good time and I have heard that they are really well run.
