"My daughter loves visiting Adventure Island. It is very local"
02-Nov-2011
My daughter loves visiting Adventure Island. It is very local to me and a fantastic day out with great value for money. There is so much for the children to go on you need to spend a whole day. I find the best time to go is when it first opens and off-peak. You don't have to queue and the park is quiet. The staff are friendly and always helpful.
The food can be a little expensive but we always take our own and have a little picnic on the sea wall just outside.
A fantastic day out for all the family.Read moreLessMumsnetter Laurensmum2668

"I love this place...right on the beach and loads of"
14-Apr-2011
I love this place...right on the beach and loads of rides, never seems to be much of a queue. My 7 year old was going on the same ride over and over with no waiting. If they are between 1m and 1.22m tall you can ride with them for free. Loads for little ones and older children. Staff v friendly. Def use tesco vouchers if you can.

A good all rounder for young ones , and rides for the older child too, wrist bands best value, but would be better if cheaper! Some rides were only available if you pay extra :(

"Great Place to take the children, very expensive so, if"
12-Dec-2010
Great Place to take the children, very expensive so, if you can purchase tickets through Tesco Club Cards or your local schools will sell tickets at discount prices or if you go after 6.00pm it is cheaper. A very fun day out!

Great for older children. Near the beach too, so you can relax there after a busy day at the theme park.

"Living fairly close to Southend this is somewhere we visit"
26-Mar-2009
Living fairly close to Southend this is somewhere we visit a couple of times a year. The bands although seemingly quite pricey, you can use them all day leaving and entering the park if you wish so work out very good value. There are three wristbands you can buy depending on what age your child is and how tall they are. You can use Tesco clubcard vouchers to purchase tickets. Also you can purchase your tickets online before you go and save in the region of £ 2.00 - £ 3.00 a ticket. There are lots of rides suitable for all ages and in the past couple of years they have increased the amount of rides they have. Well worth going if you have never been.

"I think this place is excellent value for money -"

I think this place is excellent value for money - especially the fact that you can ride with little ones free of charge. Also, spend all day if you like as you can come and go as you like.
