Twycross Zoo

We had a great day out at Twycross. The new snow leopard enclosure/restaurant and shop area is amazing! The toilets with a glass wall showing fire ants marching along a branch were a hit with my 3yo.
The elephant area is amazing, as you can get close to them in something resembling their natural habitat. Definitely allow a full day as we didn't manage to see everything in 4 hours!

DD2 (2 years) and I visited Twycross last week. It was a lovely day out and we both enjoyed it. It is very clean and there are plenty of toilets and cafes around. The food is quite pricey so next time I will take a picnic. There is plenty of grass areas to sit and eat.
There are plenty of animals and there is a nice area with little rides and a mini train, which is fun for toddlers.

Great for the little ones lots to see and do well thought out

Lovely Zoo with lots and lots to see - especially monkeys as they have loads. Brand new reception building is brilliant - you can watch animals as you eat. There is a train, a pets corner, plenty of picnic areas and no pressure to eat at the zoo's restaurants. Multiple talks and feeding times during the day too.

Twycross zoo was great for little ones. Lots of animals, free rides but also not too big. You can walk the whole park in about 4-5 hours. I found this great with a 2 year old who after 4 hours was ready for a nap. They only have 1 set of big cats but have a big elephant enclosure and have recently re-vamped the visitor centre and the pet farm section.
