Fantastic day out, thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. Especially the goats and huge pigs which my children adored.
Only one issue and that was hardly Folly Farm's fault, but my youngest saw the Zebu's mating and now won't stop asking questions. Little embarrassing, but otherwise great.Read moreLessMumsnetter Ginlord

"I have just recently visited Folly farm in Pembrokeshire. We"

I have just recently visited Folly farm in Pembrokeshire. We had a fantastic day and there was very suprising amount of things to do considering the reasonable entry cost (you can use your tesco vouchers too).
It was a glorious day when we visited and we spent ages walking around the animals. They all seem extreemly well cared for. We sat and had a picnic outside and there is plenty of outside play areas such as a huge pirate ship etc for the children to explore.
If it is a rainy day there is an indoor fairground which is made to seem old fashioned/vintage. My dd's loved the rides. There is also a huge indoor exploring/climbing frame area by the food area.
There is a animal show which is on a couple of times a day and my children loved this.
Food wise - we didn't really sample as we brought a picnic but it seemed like regular fare - there is fast food type outlets as well as pub type lunches. It looked ok and appeared not too extortionate.
The park was clean with plenty of bins around. Lots of toilets.
We really had a enjoyable day here and will return on our next holiday in West wales.Read moreLessMumsnetter Reesie

"Fab day out for the whole family. We spent a"
28-Apr-2011
Fab day out for the whole family. We spent a whole day there (open 10-5.30) and found something to do all day! Really reasonably priced, (£9 adults and free for under twos) considering how much there is to do! My 18month old loved stroking the farm animals, and playing on the diggers. He wasn't very interested by the zoo animals, but I think he is too young for that. Considering we went on a very sunny day in the Easter holidays, it wasn't crazily busy. There were lots of people, but we found a table for our lunch very quickly and there were no queues for anything. Prices on beverages were quite high (£5 for two small cokes and an ice lolly) but fairground rides etc were only 50p each.
Fab day out, will definitely be returning in the summer!Read moreLessMumsnetter sillyily

"All our family loved Folly Farm - reasonable entry price,"
09-Sep-2010
All our family loved Folly Farm - reasonable entry price, and so much to do indoors and outdoors so good for wet weather days too!
Small zoo with most important animals, great outdoor climbing frames (pirate ships), small go-carts which the whole family can race against each other in, helter skelter, then loads of indoor old style funfair rides. These do cost extra, so be prepared, but not expensive and no queues so a fantastic day out!Read moreLessMumsnetter steph007

"A great place to take young children. You can feed"

A great place to take young children.
You can feed lambs bottles of milk in the big barn at set times through the day (my children think this is great!), there is an indoor fairground and play area if the weather is not so good, and large picnic areas and outdoor adventure play frames if the weather is nice.
There are also wild animals to see if you take a walk around the animal enclosures.
There is a small area with rabbits and guinea pigs which can be handled during certain sessions, under the supervision of a park worker.Read moreLessMumsnetter ScarletBandit
