"Banham Zoo has a lovely collection of animals and there's"
19-Jul-2009
Banham Zoo has a lovely collection of animals and there's always something to interest anyone. There is a lot of walking for small children and a buggy is a must. You can go several times and not have seen everything that is there but our favourite things are the giraffes and the Colobus monkeys which have a tunnel over the path.
For a one-off visit prices are quite expensive. However we have opted for a season ticket which makes it much more affordable. (That ticket also gives you half price entry at Africa Alive, Kessingland and Dinosaur Adventure Park, Lenwade.)
Food is variable - the main canteen does a line in fast food, pasties and chips, but you can find panninis, sandwiches and cakes at some of the smaller outlets. There is a large outdoor seating area and plenty of tables for picnics if you prefer.
There is plenty of parking but in peak season you may find you have a bit of a walk to get to the entrance.
Overall would recommend to any families.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"Super: small enough to get round with small children, large"
25-Jun-2009
Super: small enough to get round with small children, large enough to have interesting animals. We enjoy the petting farm and the zoo train. The amazing animals display takes my breath away.
