"Amazing Candles - Really Difficult to Make Them Right!…"
We just had the best day out of the Summer! One of the best ever...
It was a candles making class with the-homemaker.co.uk and the boys keep asking when are we doing it again?
Liza is an excellent teacher and by the end of the day we managed to actually make carved candles (far from her ones, though).
They live on a smallholding with free range animals - including RABBITS, never seen free range before!!! and our youngest son caught one to cuddle it - outside the village of Westgate, in the Weardales.
Please mind: you would be better driving a 4x4 to reach them! It is almost on the top of the mountain and the final part of the track is rough...
To book we sent them a message with our contact and the period when we were looking to go there and they got back the next day!
Both our boys are over 12yo and it was no issue to have them around melted wax. However, if you intend to go there with much younger children please advise Liza about it!
We started a bit late the class because we got there late (miscalculating the driving time) but that was no problem, at all. The class went on for six hours, as scheduled, with Liza spending with us an extra hour of her own time in order for us to have our candles properly made!
All I can say about my hubby is that he's not taking easy candle making, anymore Just have a look at their web page and see for yourself!
