Hi mums, thought you might be interested in joining a Facebook group to stop the closing of Grays Beach. Thurrock Council (in it's infinite wisdom) has decided to sell off Grays beach to make way for MORE housing. There is very little to do in Grays since Lakeside opened and now the council wants to sell off it's remaining open spaces. The leaders of Thurrock council don't live in Thurrock - in fact, the leader of the council lives in Brighton so these cuts won't affect him or his family. Please join the Facebook group - it probably won't change a thing cos they've only money making on their greedy minds, but they will, at least, get an idea how popular Grays beach actually is with mums and their families.

It's a fantastic place to visit at any time of year, particularly when the weather is nice. There is a great play equipment area like the giant sand pit, adventure trail, aerial slide and the famous Grays Beach play galleon is open all year round and during the summer months.
Open 10:00am-6:00pm during Summer and Easter Holidays; open 10:00am-4:00pm during winter.Read moreLessMumsnetter motormouth
