"Fantastic fun. No one wanted to leave.…"
Stumbled across this by accident when we had visited the Science Museum and wanted to let the kids let off steam before travelling home. And let off steam they did! At 4, 6 & 8 years they all had a great time, splashing around. It is big enough and has several different areas to entertain for ages. It was really busy but yet everyone had plenty of space still. We happened to have spare clothes and dried off using a spare cardigan as a towel. It is completely free so fantastic value.Read moreLess

Brilliant for hot days!
I initially thought that it would be quite cheesy, but it's definitely a winner with kids of all ages who will love splashing in the water. Just don't make the mistake that I did though & think that the fountain will be near Kensington Palace. The Diana Memorial Fountain is actualy on the south side of the Serpentine.
Visits to the fountain can easily be combined with a trip to the Serpentine Gallery & mulling around Hyde Park or if you don't mind walking a little bit further:
- trips to the Science , Victoria & Albert or National History Museums
- some window shopping in High Street Kensington
Ambience = 10 (as there's lots of space, so you won't feel overwhelemed by your or other people's children)
Value for money = 10 (as it's free)
Pack a towel, some spare clothes, a picnic & a mat to sit on.Read moreLess
