"Better for KS2 children.…"
23-Jul-2012
A good place to pop in and out as it is free. There are a few activities to do for children, mainly free colouring sheets or paying to a pound or two to do the activity trail. It is mainly static exhibitions and a transport time travel exhibition with videos to watch and try to listen to. These have bsl signing too. there are a few buttons to press but nothing spectacular. The display of different police lights and sirens is a hit but not if you are sensitive to flshing lights.
It is a bit difficult to negotiate with a pushchair or wheel chair as there are several levels with slow wheelchair lifts of the sort small fingers can get scraped up the wall.
The route through the museum brings you out in the middle of the gift shop, not ideal with small grabby children!Read moreLessMumsnetter redwhiteandblueeyedsusan
