Tolson Museum

Great little museum in the park. Downstairs is mainly old vehicles such as tractors and other historical transport from Huddersfield.

Interesting for adults and older children and lots of hands on stuff for little ones. Upstairs is an in-depth history of the area which is probably more geared at older children. There is a whole room devoted to a collection of stuffed birds which my boys love! You need to check opening times as it varies - but it's free!! The park outside has plenty of open space and a playground for toddlers and they have just built an adventure type playground for older children.
