"Great playground, but can be very busy…"
We've been to this playground a number of times, because we have friends who live nearby. It's in Hyde Park (nearest tube Lancaster Gate), and good facilities on site inc. loos and a cafe that sells decent, healthy food and ice-cream. If you go outside the main summer holidays and busy weekends I can highly recommend it, but do avoid on hot summer days during the school holidays. We went last summer and I don't think I've ever seen so many people in one small space! Plus, play can get rough when there are so many children - some of them quite big - and lines of sight are obscured.Read moreLess

This playground is amazing, the ship is fantastic, much better when the weather is good. We spent a good few hours.Read moreLess

An amazing playground, can easily make a whole day trip out of it.
The park is themed around Peter Pan, and the centrepiece is a huge ship. There's also a paddling pool and sand.
Cafe and childrens toilets on site. But worth taking a picnicRead moreLess
"Really good free playground for children of all different ages.…"
Really good free playground for children of all different ages. Gated so they can't escape, and with toilets on site (tho long queues when we went). Plenty of water play so take towel and spare clothes. Only downsides are that there is not much shade in summer and it can get really overcrowded, sometimes they turn folk away.Read moreLess
"I went here with my 7 month old baby and…"
I went here with my 7 month old baby and a friend who brought along her 4 year old. We all had a great time. The playground is well supervised - no unaccompanied adults so you feel safe and secure if your children run off to explore.
There is a great variety of playground rides for all ages - swings, slides, etc an enormous pirate ship which they can climb on and a beach area so they can play in the sand. Both my baby and my friend's 4 year old had a great time.
The park is right opposite Queensway tube on the Central Line so really easy to get to.
Despite being Kensington the cafe on site was totally affordable and had some delicious warms stews, sandwiches, juices, and pizza
Really great day outRead moreLess
