"Very dirty & not worth the money…"
30-Apr-2013
The place was filthy, no soap in toilet (it hadn't ran out the dispensor had been ripped off the wall!) the fire doors were illegally proped open and the amount of dirt and rubbish I witnessed was discussing. It cost £30 for one adult and a 3 yr old which we were there for less than 2 hours. Definately not worth the money at all. If you have children going there I would suggest antibac wipes for hands. Very disappointed :(

My ds's really like a visit to the Blue Planet but it's a very expensive trip. It doesn't take long to get round at all. There is a play area but you have to go through the shop to get there. Last time we went we weren't allowed to eat our own food in the cafe.

This is worth maybe a couple of hours of your time (with younger children). If you are expecting it to fill a full day you would be disappointed.
Saying that the Auditorium where they do scheduled shark feeds etc is excellent and well worth the money! Be aware though to get your costs down it may be best to take a picnic lunch as the cost of food and drink is high here. If you search on the internet you can get money off vouchers to this attraction and also a certain supermarket does a reward scheme where you can pay in advance for a ticket and get admission basically for the price ofRead moreLessMumsnetter MuppysMum

Took my DD who was 2 at the time, and she loved it. Plenty of freedom to run about and look at the different fish and sharks and spiders and all sorts.
Although, a little over priced for the size/length of time it takes to get around.
However, she enjoyed it on a wet rainy day in Cheshire, so all in all it was worth it.
Also, gift shop is very good for little nicnaks and presents.Read moreLessMumsnetter miamama09

We enjoyed a good day out here but I felt it was overpriced. There are the usual aquarium attractions such as being able to touch some of the fish and walking through the glass tunnels. The best bit was the large glass fronted aquarium with seating in front of it where we ate our lunch - the children couldn't concentrate on eating for watching the fish!

Blue planet aquarium is a wonderful day out you can enjoy lots of displays of tropical fish and other unusual sealife. The kids will adore the not a normal adventure park but an amazing one it is called octopus play park i couldn't get my boys out they loved it so much! The disadvantage is that you can't buy family ticket but it is still decent value for money.
