I have four children and even now if I'm reading this to the youngest, whose 4 atm, somehow the other three will appear (that means a 14 year old, an 11 year old and an 8 year old) will appear at my youngest's door to listen in. We all love to quote "I want my mummy". An incredibly lovely book that should up alongside the gruffalo!Read moreLess

DD loves this book, it's her favourite at the moment. The characters have 'ordinary' names : Sarah, Percy and Bill, and that bit of repetition in the last line of the page that little ones love. The illustrations are adorable and we enjoy reading it together - one I never tire of reading to her.Read moreLess

"Owl Babies is a fabulous little story about three owls…"
Owl Babies is a fabulous little story about three owls who are left alone in their tree. Sarah, Percy and Bill wait together until their mother returns.
The character of the littlest owl, Bill, is delightful. He continues to say "I want my mummy" throughout the story whilst the older two owls talk about where she is and what to do. His final line changes to "I love my mummy" when she returns to them.
My little one has always loved this story, especially at bedtime. A must-read for the very young, to age 5 (have read this with a nursery class who all loved it.)
The illustrations are beautifully drawn.Read moreLess
