This contains really sound advice. Practical and full of common sense with no gimmicks. I wish I'd had this book before my little one was born - it would have been a Godsend.

I was really most impressed, coming at this book having already two primary school children, I wasn't sure if I was already too far gone to benefit.
On the contrary the approach that the authors have to bringing over the advice coming through their editorial eyes but gathered from the experiences of thousands of Nannies (with an N) and the advice itself is hearteningly practical and no-nonsense, gloriously without an agenda.
Well, perhaps two. Sane parents and well brought-up children; a virtuous circle.
A good mix of practical advice of things to do illuminated with a little of 'Why?' brought back some memories of hard-learned lessons and own discoveries during the first years. At the same time, the background advice is good, and for both current and future mums and dads this really is a great book.
Great advice, free of dogma. This is a tool, not a coffee table book, so get out there and may your copy soon be dog-eared.
