I read this book whilst pregnant with No 2 and really wish I'd read it before having No 1.
Its full of evidence based information, instead of the thoughts and theories of some person, who has probably never had children anyway.
If you are adverse to sticking to some other persons strict routines and want to find your own way to having a happy, confident baby then this books is for you. I loved it so much I know buy it for all my pregnant friends.Read moreLessMumsnetter Ineedsomesleep

In the age of strict routine, it is refreshing to read a book that reflects the actual world of various ways of parenting. This book gives useful tips and includes stories how people cope with parenting. This book never forces you to take on a certain path, instead the author shows various options available with regards to feeding, sleeping arrangements, etc and it is then your choice which options suit you.
The book also include conclusions from various research studies about baby behaviour. Very interesting read.
This book has given me the confidence that my way of parenting is entirely acceptable and that I do not need to be judged by anybody as long as my baby is happy.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.
