"It was okay, but not worth buying…"
19-Feb-2013
This book has a lot of common sense in it, and does make you think about what you eat and why you eat, but gave me nothing more than I was already thinking about when I picked the book up. There is no real advice or groundbreaking information in it. Saying that, for people interested in the subject (like me), it was fairly well written. I wish I'd borrowed it from a library rather than buying it though.

"Not good…"
08-Dec-2012
This book isn't worth getting. It wasn't BAD, as in it was written quite well, but the content was a huge let down. I would have given it three stars for average, but 'unimpressed' sums it up more.

"This book has changed the way I think about food…"
08-May-2009
This book has changed the way I think about food and how I get it. Very easy to read and full of fascinating facts. It is an absolute must read in my opinion and if more people thought carefully about how we shop, eat and discard food and waste, many of the issues we are facing today would be finding solutions. On the other hand, its good to know we are dealing with some of the same issues as the Romans. Read it.
