"Great fun with an equally popular sequel"
17-May-2012
Although I found this on Amazon Kindle £1.91), it's also available at Lulu for paperback (print on demand, though, so a little dearer than your usual high street read).
Hilarious observational chicklit that will have you wanting more.Read moreLessMumsnetter carparkmum

"As I "sort of" live in SW London, I enjoyed"
14-Nov-2011
As I "sort of" live in SW London, I enjoyed this book by a local author after reading about it on a community forum.
Great mix of characters, no doubt based on the "Putney Set", but above all it has believable characters and witty observations about the snooty types you can meet at school gates anywhere in the land.
Main character Libby and outspoken friend Fenella take on the 'Meemies' (it's all about "Me, Me, Me") - a truly fun read.Read moreLessMumsnetter AuntVy

It's a feel good read with lots of laughs. The characters are loveable (except the ones that aren't :-) ) It was a lovely book to read, it made me smile and I am really looking forward to the sequel.

"I discovered this book while browsing for a holiday read"
14-Nov-2011
I discovered this book while browsing for a holiday read and it made my summer!
I hadn't heard of the author, but the storyline appealed and the free download sample on Amazon.com had me wanting more.
Brought plenty of laughs and the author perceptively sums up some of the very recognisable types you meet from the vulgar monied set at the school gates. This isn't wealth bashing, but it makes you question who is richer.
Something for everyone - chaotic family life, school mummy competitiveness, gays, a cultural mix - all wrapped up in witty and well captured observations.
A definite recommend!! If you like a diary, it's a grown-up Bridget Jones without the snobbery of Rachel Johnson.Read moreLessMumsnetter TazzL
