one of the best books of last year for me - and for my mum , sister mate and everyone i FORCEDit onto who then came back in days agreeing it was so compelling. The mood changes rather deliciously half way and powers you ever faster towards the suprising end. I have cast my movie thereof already

Two young women's paths cross in 1940s South Africa. This is the story of Laura - a young, inexperienced new bride who really doesn't know her new husband at all, and Gay an ambitious young actress trying to get a break any way she can.
