"The debut novel by Glen David Gold which begins 1920's…"
The debut novel by Glen David Gold which begins 1920's America and follows stage magician Carter the Great, who is forced to go on the run after the death of American President Harding during one of his shows. The book then veers off into Carter's past as we learn of his childhood and his gradual rise to the heights of vaudeville magician extraordinaire before finally bringing the reader back to the present for the grand finale.
This is a fantastically evocative book, with a guest appearance from Houdini himself, in which the author's love of the subject clearly shines through. Recommended.Read moreLess
