Twilight Stephenie Meyer

I chose this book mainly because I was wondering what all the fuss was about. And ten minutes after starting it, I was beginning to understand. It is beautifully written, with emotions captured beautifully. I feel a bizarre sense of empathy with the lead character, and even wish for my own Edward..

I am halfway through book four, and still loving it.

Twilight fever has my circle of 40 something, close girlfriends in a vice like grip.Yet it's a story of teenage love and vampires. So, the question is -why? Because Ms Meyers captures so vividly the essence of being in love and having to resist the physical feelings that accompany that state. That's a position that regardless of age, we've all been in. And may well be in again...

FANTASTIC!!!!! A great book, couldn't put it down, and the sequels are just as gripping

Well, I thought this was for teenagers but goodness me, how wrong I was, amazing book!! As a mum of two, with a degree going on and a house and a job etc abit of escapism was just what I needed. It's romantic, tense, exciting and satisfying all at the same time and flashes you back to being a teenager and makes you wish you'd met a vampire so exhilarating as Edward. Take a look - this is not just for kids!

I loved this book so much, I have also read the following 3 books and couldn't put them down. I am also looking forward to see how the books turn out in the films.

My husband bought me this book and I had no idea that it was a 'teen' book. It was great pure pure escapism. And yes like the previous reviewers I was a teenager all over again!! 18 going on 40....I am now reading slowly reading 'Breaking Dawn' the last of the four trying to 'eke out' the escape!

I have to admit that this book (and its 3 sequels) are a guilty pleasure of mine. This is a connect the dots book which is by no means intelligently written nor shocking original. BUT it is a perfect form of escapism and is so easy to just pick up, read and enjoy. Definatly worth a read, but I think you'll see what I mean when you do!

Yes I know it's loved by teenagers, but I now know why! Within three pages I was 17 and completely in love with a boy called "Edward", believe me at 32 that's quite a feat and this is quite a book.
