I have read thousands of books but this was the first to so impress and devastate me that I immediately re-read it.
A small son and his father walk through a ravaged and destroyed America is convincing and harrowing. Their relentless flight towards the coast away from the ash and the wreckage hoping to find some and small sanctuary is totally mesmerizing.
Read it, you won't put it down and you won't forget it either.
