"Great first cook book for kids with genuinely delicious recipes…"
From simple smoothies to Thai prawn curry, the recipes in this book make cooking easy by setting out every dish in numbered stages, and each stage comes with a picture. It is really well thought-out, even down to the book's pages being on a ring-binder so it naturally sits flat on the kitchen worktop. You can use it with younger children by reading the recipe through with them stage by stage. An older child (say from 8/9 up) can follow the recipes themselves.
The recipes are split into chapters like 'rice and beans', 'meat and fish' and 'cakes and biscuits' and most recipes offer variations for taste and allergies. We've made everything from chicken and olive stew to profiteroles with orange cream and toffee sauce.
Every recipe we've tried has been a resounding success and many of them have become favourite family staples because they're so tasty and relatively simple.Read moreLess
