Ministry of Food, by Jamie Oliver

A great basic cookbook, I would buy this for any novice cook. It is written in a step by step fashion with great photos to help with your understanding.
I use it often, love the chili con carne recipe and the lamb chops with salsa. There are lots more that I want to try. A really useful family cookbook.

Tasty, quick, easy recipes without the long list of obscure or expensive ingredients that I have found with some of Jamie's other recipes. I have made loads of things from this book and there's some fab desert recipes in there too!

A great basics cook book. Fab stew recipes and the chicken tikka is a wonderful curry.

If you can't cook or want more confidence then this great. If you want to expand your family mealtime recipes then this is great.

Good ideas, meals that will appeal to most.

Exciting, not particularly. Concentrates on basics and classic meals. Also how to produce takeaways at home.
