The Mischievous Martens, by Astrid Lindgren

This is a little known but wonderful classic of a chapter book by the author of Pippi Longstocking, which follows the slightly naughty adventures of a family of three imaginative children.

I loved this as a child and our 4 year old daughter is always desperate to hear the next instalment... Suitable for reading aloud to a little one or for an older child to read alone, this is a real favourite in our house.
