The Gruffalo's Child, by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler

We all adore this book. Cannot get enough of Julia Donaldsons books. My little girl loves the rhymes and joins in. The illustrations are lovely.

we absolutely LOVE this book - all three of my children have adored it - its probably been the pick in our house over the years... The animals of the forest are wary of the gruffalo, but the gruffalo is afraid of the mythical big bad mouse ... not believing her dad that the creature exists the gruffalos child sets out in the dark and snowy forest to find him .... a clever end brings a smile to all!!

A great companion to the Gruffalo. Both are excellent reads.

Excellent story in rhyme with lovely characters, good twist and great illustrations

I thought it would be hard to find a book better than the Gruffalo but we actually enjoyed this even more than the original. Such lovely ideas and a very very clever follow on. My daughter loves it.

Not as good as the original Gruffalo book I'm afraid. This hasn't held the attention of our ds half as much as the original did.
However the illustrations are just as magical in the gruffalo's child and the rhyming verse is just as easy to read

Both my dd's enjoy this book and will happily read it over and over again.

After having such fun with the gruffalo, we had to get the gruffalo's child, which has been received just as highly!

This is the best of the Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheiffer books. A perfect bedtime read - it's an easy one to read aloud, great for putting on different voices - my 2.5 year old knows the story backwards, and loves nothing more than having it read as her bedtime story. A definite 9.5 out of 10!

One of my daughters best books, which we read at least twice a week, the perfect bed time story with great pictures and easy to follow story line. Evry child should have the Gruffalo books.
