We love 'Sleepytime Kittens' in our house and have been reading it with our daughter from when she was very tiny.

The basic story is that of many young children's books, the 'quest to find' - in this case sheep to count on order to send them off the sleep. The kittens go round the farmyard meeting other animals which can be counted and eventually find all the sheep.

The pictures are large, bright and clear and there is an added bonus of a hidden sheep on each page to find. This is great for slightly older children. We also love the front page which has a big picture of the farmyard on it. You can use this to encourage early reading skills such as scanning across pages to find the animals.
