Marvin Gets MAD!, by Joseph Theobald

Wow, as a parent with a child who has been going through the "terrible 2's" for the last two years it was fabulous to find a book to share with my own "Marvin"

Marvin is a sheep who wants an apple that is just out of reach, he isn't quite tall enough, after trying every which way he falls asleep. On waking he finds his friend Molly was tall enough and she has eaten HIS apple!

A very funny book that captures the red mist which seems to envelop children turning your normally adorable child into a screaming monster.
It is easy to forget that for the child a tantrum is an upsetting thing too. For the child sharing the story they get a gentle reminder that having a tantrum generally achieves little, and for the adult it is a reminder that once in that dark place they often need a friendly face to help them out.

Its done in a way that will have children and adults laughing. The text is delightfully easy to read aloud and the illustrations in bright colours grab and keep the attention. They're sharp and clear, focusing attention on the point of the story. Buy, Borrow, Enjoy!!
