Cowboy Baby, by by Sue Heap

An off the wall picture book that absolutely hit the spot with my 4 year-old nephew - and I note that it's gone to university with him all these years later. One of the books I most enjoyed sharing - I'm not exactly sure why it works but it does.

this is a great book to perfect your midwestern drawl to! Its a really well paced bedtime story with a bit of gentle action which winds down beautifully to cowboy baby settling to sleep. It also has the advantages of being about a little boy and his daddy(and teddies) so fathers can read an affectionate but not too soppy story
