"The chair looks stylish and robust. It has a deep"
02-Feb-2011
The chair looks stylish and robust. It has a deep seat which can recline making it very safe for baby. The chair height is adjustable.
It's very simple in terms of attachments, padding etc making it very easy to clean. Having had numerous chairs I find that ease of cleaning to rate much higher than baby comfort/padding. Baby loves it, so despite this I suspect it is perfectly comfortable.
Overall I am very impressed with the design, however it does have quite a large footprint, so not ideal for very small dining areas, but it wouldn't take up much more room than a full adult dining chair I guess.
My one issue with it is the finish. Perhaps we have an early batch, but I find the moulding of the seat of less quality than Phil and Ted normally provide. As I said, perhaps we have an early run of the product, but the areas around the hinge are 'lumpy' and there are strange marks on the sand-blasted aluminium legs.Read moreLessMumsnetter vanrobstone

"I bought this high chair when my baby was 5"
22-Nov-2010
I bought this high chair when my baby was 5 weeks old as I was afraid of dropping something on her as she lay in her bouncer on the kitchen floor or being knocked off the work surface by over exhuberant siblings. Similarly once she was awake she wanted to see around her and became bored with lying in her pram all the time.
As this is baby number 4 I have had quite a lot of experience with high chairs and this is without doubt the best one I have ever had!
I was quite shocked when it arrived as it seemed very bulky but once I found a place for it, tucked under the centre island, it just blended in perfectly and so did baby. Because of this excellent high chair, baby was in the middle of all the fun and excitment during breakfast, dinner and tea.
I do have a few issues with it and words of advice. If you are putting a very young baby into it you need the Phil and Ted's Cushy Ride insert, which is extra but you don't need to buy the high heels and lumber support (which is of no use what so ever). Similarly you do not need the extra feeding tray as the small one provided is perfect. My baby is now taking spoon feeds and I have not used the large tray once. I also removed the shoulder pads immediately as they were too bulky and the padding on the harness buckle later as it was covered in food after every meal. This chair does not fold away so don't buy it if you have limited space and need to fold the chair away after every use. This is also not a chair which can be moved between Granny's house and home. I love this high chair, it is easy to clean and has no crevices or folds for food to hide and germs to multiply. It also looks beautiful and works perfectly. I couldn't recommend this chair highly enough!Read moreLessMumsnetter fively

"I bought this fresh of the production line as it's"
05-Mar-2010
I bought this fresh of the production line as it's just been released for sale here in UK and I think it is brilliant. My 5 month old is very happy feeding in it and I feel comfortable it is safe for her. The 3 tilt position is very useful and the frame of the base much better than, say, the solid base of a Fresco Bloom. With the high-pod I can stand right up to the seat rather than having my feet a few inches back and having to lean forward.
My 2 criticisms are firstly that the tray could easily have some blinkers or safety shields either side where it connects to the actual seat. I only say this as my daughter likes to reach for the steel pegs when I'm connecting it and I worry about her fingers getting caught so there's cause to be careful fitting it. Otherwise I think the back could be made to look a little better. It's so cool from the front and side and I think the most modern and sleek looking highchair available but from the back it looks a little unfinished.
Anyhow, I would whole-heartedly recomment it as it is easy to clean, very functional, sturdy, modern and my daughter is very happy to sit in it and play while I'm cooking.
A great purchase that we are very happy with.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.
