"You name the pump chances are pretty good I've bought"
17-Sep-2010
You name the pump chances are pretty good I've bought it used it and binned it!:) I've gone from the tommee tippee manual to medela mini, tommee tippee electric and every thing in between!
when I finally decided to stop wasting money and buy one good one- I wasn't sorry. I never managed to breast feed due to latching problems but 7 weeks on Im still determined to give my boy the best of the breast!
I find the pump extremely efficient yet gentle, the parts are easily assembled and disassembled, easy to clean and sterilize and the over all performance GREAT!Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"I started expressing a week after my son was born,"
01-Sep-2010
I started expressing a week after my son was born, mainly to relieve engorgement but also to build a reserve in the freezer. I found the Lansinoh electric pump really easy to use, the instructions were simple to follow which helped as my first expressing session was at 3am. I expressed regularly as it only took 10minutes to express 5oz,the capacity of each of the bottles.
I found the pump comfortable to use as I was a little nervous what it would feel like but it wasn't uncomfortable at all. I only single pumped but I didn't find that to be a problem. Overall I would recommend this pump as it was really easy to use and effective at expressing milk in a short period of time.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"I've used this as both a double and single pump."
26-Aug-2010
I've used this as both a double and single pump.
I find it really easy to use and clean and I've recommended to other mums who have asked about it on breastfeeding forums! The size is great and easy to transport for an electric pump. Overall I think it's a user friendly great value electric pump.
Tip for expressing more milk - I initially tried the highest settings for both speed and suction and soon realised that this didn't mean faster flow! I have since reverted to using the setting that is automatically defaulted after the let down period and this seems to work better, as does the slower speed and higher suction.
Another thing I do to increase the amount of milk expressed is to carefully watch when the milk flow reduces and when it does, start another let down period (using their let down button) which I find increases it rapidly again. I do this a couple of times during each expressing period.
I've also recently tried the Medela Swing but find this one much better, would highly reccommend.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

awful.
sounds like a foghorn.
only one size of 'cones' - small - included so very uncomfortable.
gets stuck in 'suck' position if diaphragms are only a tiny bit damp.
very expensive.Read moreLessMumsnetter tourmaline11

"Horrible and useless. I just paid £120 for this stupid"
21-Apr-2010
Horrible and useless. I just paid £120 for this stupid thing and have only managed 5ml of milk in about 10 minutes. The instructions seem to show a woman holding both bottles with one arm/hand, but it was impossible. Trying to work the controls while holding a shield in each hand is very hard work. There are lots of parts, very fiddly to put together.
And boy is this thing loud! I thought my Medela Swing was annoying, but this one is at least twice as loud. The suction is terrible, even turned up all the way it doesn't do anything near what the Medela Swing does.
I'll be taking this back to Mothercare and demanding a refund on the grounds that it isn't fit for purpose. I'm an experienced pumper and I've triple checked all the instructions and connections--it just doesn't work!Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.
