THIS YEAR'S HAY FESTIVAL runs from 23 May - 2 June. In addition to the adult events, families can enjoy Hay Fever, a programme aimed at younger visitors. Meet your heroes from Julia Donaldson to Michael Morpurgo, take part in workshops with The Kitchen Academy and the RSC, and visit farms on the Welsh borders. Hay has a whole programme for teenagers with great musicians and all the best YA writers. Read the full programme and follow Hay on twitter @hayfestival.
Hello from Mumsnet book club,
Our March book of the month, This Isn't The Sort Of Thing That Happens To Someone Like You, has elicited a range of reactions. One book clubber said she "devoured it in about 48 hours", while another found the stories hard to read "because I dreaded the ending". Our webchat with author Jon McGregor is on Tuesday 16 April, 9-10pm, so there's still time to read all or some of the short stories and then join Jon to talk about his writing.
We've also started on our April book of the month, The Innocents by Francesca Segal. The Independent calls it a "classily composed comedy of manners". Do you agree? You can put your questions to Francesca on Tuesday 30 April, 9-10pm.
We're giving away 50 downloadable copies of:
Hot (th)reads from the MN book club boards
