Now for this week's parenting news...
National 'offer day' for primary places: all parents in England will hear about their children's primary school place on the same day - 16 April - under a revised admission code unveiled by the government. The single day for allocating places will come into force in 2014. Primary admission rules will also be changed to make it easier for oversubscribed schools to expand. (BBC News)
Family Justice Review condemns "shocking" delays: a long-awaited report on family law calls for a statutory, six-month limit in child-protection cases in family courts to eliminate "shocking delays" over care decisions. The report also rules out giving both parents equal access to a child, which had been a key demand of fathers who have gone through divorce or separation. (Guardian)
