Baby talkFor new parents a baby can be equally exhilarating, exhausting and, at times, overwhelming. But after the excitement has passed and new mums are faced with the realities of a newborn, where can they turn to for advice?

Baby Talk is a new online series presented by Dr. Ellie Cannon and designed to be both informative and entertaining. Dr. Ellie is a GP specialising in childcare and the mother of two young children. She is also the resident GP for the Mail on Sunday and Woman Magazine and regularly appears on TV. 

Throughout the series Dr. Ellie will be sharing advice and talking with three new mums whose children are at different stages of development. They will be exploring the baby matters which matter the most to you, like feeding, bathing and sleeping.

Dr Ellie About Dr Ellie Cannon

Dr Ellie Cannon MA (Cantab) MBBS MRCGP DCH read medicine at Cambridge University, then completed her clinical training at the Royal Free Hospital, London. She spent five years in hospital medicine, before embarking on a career in General Practice. She is a member of the Royal College of GPs.

Dr Ellie now works in a busy inner city NHS practice, as well as a private practice. She has a very family-orientated practice, AND specialises in child health, from newborns to teenagers. Ellie combines her clinical and media work with being a mum to her children.

This competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom & Ireland only aged 18 years and over. Closing date for receipt of entries is midnight on 17 September. Any entries received after the closing time will not be counted. To enter the competition, you need to provide an answer to the question and contact details. Incomplete entries or those not in accordance with these terms are invalid. Prize: The winner will receive £100 worth of vouchers to spend in Mothercare. The winner will be randomly selected. You may submit only one entry per person. If for any reason a winner is not eligible then another winner will be chosen at random. All information given as part of your entry must be true, current and full.
