Joining Mumsnet is free but, as a member, we hope you'll contribute as many product reviews, local listings, recipes and tips as you can.

Once you're a member, you can set up a profile page (where you can post your likes and dislikes, and show off your photos) and you can visit your local Mumsnet site (where you can meet local mums and find out about local activities).

And, of course, you can dive into our Talk boards and join an antenatal club or discuss anything from movies to mothers-in-law.

You can also sign up to:

  • Our unique email developmental bulletins, tailored to your child's progress
  • Pregnancy emails tailored to each stage of your pregnancy
  • Our weekly email round-up of parenting news
  • An email highlighting the best of the week's Talk
  • Discounts from loads of Mumsnet discount partners, from Boden to Mark Warner to Luxury Family Hotels

Mumsnet is here to make parents' lives easier, so if you've any thoughts on how we can improve, just let us know.

Enjoy the site!

Love, MNHQ

The Basics

Where You Are

A Little More About You

It helps us to keep the site free to use if you give us some basic demographic information. This helps us to sell advertising space. We absolutely, categorically do not pass your email address to anyone else. See our privacy policy for more information.

Mumsnet offers regular emails through your pregnancy, and on your child's development over time. If you'd be interested in receiving either of these, please tell us whether you are pregnant, and whether you already have kids.

Developmental emails for your kids

If you would like to receive Mumsnet pregnancy development emails, please fill in your due date.

Privacy policy

It is Mumsnet's policy not to make our mailing list available to any other parties and we would only pass on your email address if we received specific permission to do so from you, or if we are asked for information by the police, in line with the Data Protection Act.

Once you've registered with us, you will receive a registration confirmation mail. We also send out a range of other mails, on everything from our bookclub activities to the week's parenting news. And, if you have told us that you're pregnant or have children, we will send you regular mails about your pregnancy or your children's developmental progress. We think these mails are useful and fun but we recognise that not everyone will want to receive them: after registering, you may subscribe and unsubscribe from any or all of our mails as you wish.
