  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 tin chopped tomato

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

  • 4 rashers smoked streaky bacon chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic minced

  • 1 tsp mixed herbs

  • 455g sausages

  • 1 onions sliced

  • 1 mushrooms peppers, courgettes - any soft veg you like really

  • 400g tinned mixed pulses


<ol> <li>Preheat oven to 200C.</li> <li>Heat oil in an ovenproof casserole dish. Add sausages, bacon, onion and garlic and stir until sausages are a little bit brown/the onion is translucent.</li> <li>Stir in the smoked paprika - add more if you like, we use the hot stuff so only use a little bit&hellip;it goes a long way!</li> <li>Mix in the rest of the ingredients, including any sliced/chopped veg you have lying around.</li> <li>Cover and cook in oven for 1 hour. Serve with crusty bread.</li> </ol>

Handy Hint

<p>Can be served with rice, couscous, bread or just on its own in a big bowl - excellent reheated the next day as well!</p>

    My 2yo is a big fan of this dish - "More beans" was one of his first sentences. Easy one-pot meal to throw together on a Saturday afternoon.
