Mustard & lamb sauce for pasta

  • 1 onion chopped fine

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 tbsp flour

  • 500g lean lamb mince

  • 125g button mushrooms -sliced thinly

  • 1 clove garlic crushed

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (or to taste)


<ol> <li>Fry onion and garlic gently in oil for 5 mins. Turn up heat, add minced lamb and stir and fry for 10 mins.</li> <li>Add mushrooms and fry 2 mins. Sprinkle on a little flour and fry 2 mins.</li> <li>Add some stock or water and seasoning, bring to the boil. Simmer 30 mins. At end of cooking add mustard (start with 1 tsp), taste to see if you like it, and add more if desired.</li> </ol>
