Oatmeal stuffed neeps (turnips)

  • 1/4 onion (use one onion per four turnips)

  • 1 turnip (or neep)

  • 25g oatmeal (per neep)

  • 1 knob butter


<ol> <li>Gently fry the onions in the butter until soft and then add the oatmeal lightly frying until it turns a light golden brown colour.</li> <li>Cut the top off each neep and then scoop out the insides and set aside.</li> <li>Place the oatmeal stuffing into the turnip nest placing the &ldquo;lid&rdquo; back on.</li> <li>Put in the oven at about gas mark four for 30 mins until the turnips are roasted through.</li> </ol>
