100 ml double cream
300 g nice chocolate , (No, really nice chocolate - think the stuff you would hide from the children and eat when they have gone to bed)
- Melt chocolate in a bain marie. Stir in double cream. Pour into long flat tray (must fit in freezer). I used an drip tray from the fridge but most ready meals come in suitable trays for this sort of thing.
- Freeze for an hour until set (no more).
- Using a cheese wire or sharp but flat blade shave long lines of truffle - it will go wiggly.
- Place in plastic bag and put back in freezer.
Eh voila, instant chocolate truffle shavings which make your cakes and ice creams look very very special, taste yummy and oh did I mention are entirely calorie free if eaten standing up?
