  • 1 sprig rosemary (or thyme or you can use dried herbs)

  • 8 sausages

  • 400g tinned beans in water (butter are my favourite)

  • 400g passata or chopped tomatoes

  • 2 handfuls pancetta or bacon bits

  • 2 handfuls vegetables chopped (eg onion, celery, carrot)


<ol> <li>Fry the pancetta or bacon for a couple of minutes.</li> <li>Add the onion and celery if using and fry for a few minutes.</li> <li>Brown the sausages.</li> <li>Add the tin of beans (don't drain the water) and the tomatoes plus another tin of water and your herbs.</li> <li>Cook for 10 minutes with the lid off.</li> <li>Cook for 10 minutes with the lid on.</li> <li>Remove the rosemary sprig and serve.</li> </ol>

Handy Hint

<p>You can also use chorizo and flavoured sausages for different twist or add garlic.</p>
