100 g cheddar, or more if needed
150 ml cheese sauce, (home-made or from a packet)
200 g macaroni
1 onions, chopped
3 slices bacon
- Fry the bacon bits and onions in a small amount of oil and put to one side.
- Put the macaroni on to cook and make your cheese sauce.
- Cook the macaroni well - if it's still al dente, it will absorb the cheese sauce and be less tasty.
- Cover thickly with grated cheddar and then put into an oven at 200C for about 15 minutes or until the top is nice and melted and going brown in parts.
Can be made in advance and bunged into the oven when needed.
