Cheesy bacon pasta

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 1/2 courgette, diced

  • 1 handful cheese, grated

  • 6 slices bacon, cut into small squares

  • 1 mushroom, (large) diced

  • 300ml creme fraiche, (or cream)

  • 2 handfuls quick cook pasta


  1. Put the pasta on to cook according to packet instructions.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, fry together the onion, courgette, mushroom and bacon.
  3. When the vegetables start to brown and the onions are soft, add the creme fraiche and the cheese and turn off the heat and stir until cheese has melted.
  4. Drain the pasta and stir into the sauce.

Handy Hint

Leave out bacon if you want a vegetarian meal.
