200g unsalted butter (or spread)
1 pear sliced
1 block stilton thinly sliced
1 handful watercress
1 ciabatta sliced
- Crisp the slices of ciabatta either under the grill or in the oven for a few minutes.
- Take the butter and blend with the watercress in a food processor to get a watercress butter and spread generously on the toasted slices.
- Top each piece with one slice of pear and one slice of stilton.
- Put under a moderate grill to melt the stilton.
- Serve hot.
Watercress butter can be made in advance to make this even easier to assemble
